Demenagement

We managed to move house at the weekend using one taxi and a few trips on the metro. Our new place is furnished, but not completely equipped like the old one, so we've been running round shopping for towels and bedlinen since then.

The restaurant scene in our new quarter is very lively. On Saturday night we had a great meal at les Galopins near Nation, honest French cooking and reasonably priced wine. On Sunday we ate at Extra Old cafe, very cool interior and 'correct' food. There are a whole bunch of other more upmarket places around but they were all booked out on Saturday and shut on Sunday.. something to look forward to. There's also a place near nation called chez prosper that's a very famous large, noisy and cheap brasserie, but the queue of people waiting was out the door when we looked in on Sunday night, even when though we passed by quite early.
