Down the Deli

At the Italian deli this morning, I met the same retired German lady that I mentioned in November, and had another chat with her. The cool thing was, this time I could understand 90% of what she said, and even make some passable replies. It was a much better conversation. So now I feel good about my German. However, Italian is a different issue. The girl I was hoping to blag some free lessons off of has stopped coming to the German classes, like a lot of the undergrads as they have exams quite soon. I need to find another Lehrerin..
