holiday

Just found out my first day at work (on Thursday) is a holiday - result! So I start work with a one-day week...

The sun finally came out today (see sunny flat pictures on flickr), so we took a walk through the Louvre courtyard and the Tuileries, then over to the Musee D'Orsay and back through the 6th, stopping for lunch in Le Citrouille, one of the cheap restaurants on Rue Gregoire de Tour. For the 12€ menu, I took herring to start, grilled lamb chop and chips and then tarte aux pommes. Pretty good, but we both agreed probably not quite as good as the Lys D'Argent..

We're off outside now to watch the eiffel tower flickering..
