in Jersey

This weekend was an extra-long pont - referred to as an aqueduc - because by taking Friday off you got a 5 day holiday. Thursday (liberation day) and Monday (pentecost) were holidays anyway. We took the chance to go to Jersey, celebrating their liberation day on Friday - one day after the Germans gave up everywhere else - and then showing Neil around a bit on his first visit to Jersey, which he captured in the video below (non-native British readers may have to search youtube for 'bbc bergerac intro' before this will make any kind of sense). Note the amazing fruits de mer, provided by Sam's parents..

C'est Fantstique!

Think the work folk were a little confused as to why I was giggling away to myself in the corner (they couldn't hear the music), but then I get that alot.

I completely misread that first line first time around as something about humidity and how as a result you felt like an aquadoc.

A sign, I feel, that it's time to step away from the computer and give me poor wee eyes a break :-)

@caroline - glad you enjoyed the vid, made us laugh a lot too - and @Andy - eh?! to be fair my writing is often a bit rushed, but what's an aquadoc?
