Went for lunch with my boss here today. We haven't spoken all that much since I arrived, because I've been busy writing up and he's been busy writing EU grant proposals. It was a good lunch. He has plenty of ideas for new research.

This weekend I was mostly working, though I went cycling yesterday in the forest. It's a bit sad there now, 90% of the trees are deciduous and all the leaves are gone. It feels sort of Christmassy though. They've just pruned some of the pine trees (only 25 chopping days til Christmas) and there are lots of pine cuttings around that people were collecting, presumably to take home for Christmas decorations.
