Sepp Blatter, the president of FIFA, has long been one of my least favourite people. Today he surpassed himself, claiming that female football players should wear skimpier kit in order to increase the appeal of the game, "They could, for example, have tighter shorts.". I quite like the riposte from the Fulham manager, "Ten years ago we did play in tighter shorts. Nobody paid attention then."
