New station open
The new Velib station at the bottom of my street has opened for business - they've stacked it full with nice refurbished bikes as well. I've also discovered I can view my journeys online, and see exactly how many minutes it took to get to work each day as I vary the route.. marvellous
New website open
Sam's first website, for RGA is now live..
New loan open
Slightly more tediously, my remortgage finally went through today. It almost fell down at the last fence when some monkey at Cheltenham and Gloucester made a mistake on the deeds almost giving me a mortgage on a flat 14 houses away (this is a classic misreading of Scottish addresses as they are recorded in the Royal Mail database, as 'x/y Streetname', where x is the house number and y the flat number. C&G read it as x is the flat number, y the house number..). Fortunately, they were able to correct their mistake (and determine they had sent the surveyor to the right place) in time to give me the money to clear the old mortgage today. So I no longer have to pay money to the deeply rubbish Standard Life Bank.
