Spring?

We managed to spend almost of today outside due to the pleasantly unseasonable weather. I'm hoping that this is evidence of the early appearance of spring in France, but I shouldn't be surprised if it was another of those 'faux ' springs that we used to often get in Edinburgh. After a quick fish buying expedition to the local market (mackerel and trout this time) we took a velib' over to the Bois de Vincennes, which is just outside the city boundary to the east. The Bois is enormous and we were easily lost for most of the time that we were strolling about, which did not detract at all from the experience. There is somewhere in the region of 995 hectares of parkland to explore including lakes and woodlands, as well as a lovely looking Château.
