Oysters
.. are extremely popular in Paris. They can be very reasonably priced or extremely expensive depending on the size and the source. We had a few as a light Sunday lunch, purchased from the market at Bastille. I've heard there are two good ways to go to the market: early, when nobody's there and all the best produce is available, or late when the vendors start selling things off cheap by the plateau. So far we've only managed the latter - we'll have to try and get up earlier and give the former option a go. Anyhow, the oysters we had were all lovely, and they were the cheapest ones - good job Sam packed the oyster knife.
