Protests

The strikers aren't the only ones out protesting on the blocked Paris streets at the moment. There's also the Stop la Grève (end the strike) anti-protest protesters - 20 000 of them came out on Sunday. And yesterday there were the anti-anti-smoking law protesters - specifically, the French association of Buralistes (tobacconists), whose arguments in favour of allowing smoking in bars are of course based on civil liberties, not the potential reduction in profits for tobacconists..
