On Saturday I bought the Corriere dello Sport because the shop at the station had sold out of La Gazzetta. Although opinions vary on the three sport only papers, it's generally reckoned that the best writers write in La Gazzetta, Corriere is a bit more tabloid, and the other, Tuttosport, is extremely tabloid. It's like The Sun reporting only on sport.

Anyway, I got a free guide to the Eurpoean championships with it. In it they reckon England are about 8th favourite out of the 16 teams, which seems about right to me. They also reckon Eriksson will play Hargreaves on the left of midfield - eh? I doubt it. But maybe they know something we don't. If I was Eriksson, I would play a diamond midfield with Gerrard left, Beckham central and Lampard right, let them switch freely a la Brasil, and get Hargreaves in the holding role..
